Swimming in munich

Swimming pools close to the Laimer Hof

There are 2 baths within easy reach of the hotel that we are pleased to
recommend:

Westbad

Under the large glass dome of the family leisure pool in the west of Munich you can find plenty of bathing fun. Here you can relax in the whirlpool, steam room or open sauna area: Finnish sauna, sanarium and steam room; and cooling off in the outside courtyard with its plunge pools is simply fantastic. In summer the Westbad complex has an additional open-air pool and nowhere else are the green sunbathing lawns so extensive as here.

Dantebad

Nowhere else offers more pools at a lido than here at "Dante". This includes the 50-m arena pool (heated to around 27° C, even in winter and unique in Munich) and the leisure pool (about 30° C) with massage jets and counter-current lane. The sauna complex with Finnish sauna, sanarium, steam bath,
Kneipp area, foot spa plaza, outdoor courtyard with log cabin sauna and plunge pool is also highly recommended.

Our personal recommendation!

The Müller'sche Volksbad is an art nouveau gem among Munich's baths and one of the most beautiful bathhouses in Europe. This bathing temple has been open to visitors since 1901.

Lakes in Munich

There are also some great swimming lakes in Munich - ideal for splashing around and sunbathing.

Our tip is the Lußsee swimming lake because the large green biotope is considered particularly clean. In addition to the two play areas and volleyball field, there is also enough space for many other leisure sports such as football or playing frisbee. Best of all is the journey to the Langwieder See on one of our bicycles.
